Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a Purchasing Analyst in Alpharetta, GA

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is responsible executing the Project Specific Material Requirements and taking appropriate action with respect to ordering material, establishing delivery dates, and ensuring the right quantity of products are delivered at the right time, at the right price from the right supplier.

 

TYPICAL DAY

  • Create and issue Purchase Orders for internal inventory and project related materials
  • Complete daily reconciliation of all purchasing invoices
  • Ensure timely processing of purchase requisitions and purchase orders including; assisting Accounting Department with Purchase Order discrepancies, delayed invoices, inventory, and job costs, etc.
  • Monitor Material Shortages and serve as material liaison between Engineering and Production for projects in production with critical shortages.
  • Track missing components (Orange tags) and work with Production and Materials Planning Team to expedite as needed.
  • Proactively resolves material shortages, establish delivery schedules, and expedite as required to maximize service and on-time delivery.
  • Assist with the International Shipping Documentation such as NAFTA and Chamber of Commerce certifications.
  • May be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates including weekends.
  • Must be able to multitask and support backing up teammates.
  • Other duties as requested.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree of any kind.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Required Skills

  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) applications and others as required.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical problem solving.
  • Understand and able to troubleshoot and identify any problems according to ISO M2M ERP system.

Desired Skills

  • ERP or MRP system knowledge.

SOFT SKILLS

  • Ability to work effectively with other employees, supervisors, and external parties.
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical problem solving.
  • Knowledge and observance of ISO policies and practices.
  • Knowledge of ISO’s product line & procedures and willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Moderate Physical exertion. May occasionally lift objects
